Woolwich Central Baptist Church's Christmas and New Year's events

We have a number of special services for the Christmas and New Year's period. We have things for all ages and for those who do and do not regularly worship with us.

A call to all churches in Greenwich to come together and pray!

Light Party: Anti Halloween

Woolwich Central Baptist Church's Light Party: Jesus, the light of the world

Welcome to our 10th annual Anti-Halloween party for everyone aged 4 to 11 years old. We are planning 2 hours of fun filled learning: games, arts and crafts, refreshments, and Bible's stories. We do not celebrate Halloween at Woolwich Central Baptist Church. While Halloween is a time of fun and dressing up for many, it does have a less wholesome past and continues to involve darker elements. As a church, we do not endorse any of this. Instead, we consistently create an atmosphere where children can deepen their personal relationship with Jesus whilst enjoying fun and games in the process. As a consequence, parents can bring their children to an environment where they do not have to worry about what the rest of the world is doing on the 28th of October.

We will be looking at how Jesus is the Light of the world and will use John 8:12 to explore this.

We love serving our community, so this event will be completely free.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

The Superhero Team

Woolwich Central Baptist Church's Holiday Club

Welcome to our 10th annual Holiday Club for everyone aged 5 to 11 years old. We are planning two weeks of fun filled learning: arts, crafts, stories, and dancing. We have chosen two weeks this year to better accommodate holidays and parent's working. The first week is at the beginning of the school holidays and the second week is in the middle of the school holiday. Your children are welcome to either week or both weeks. They can attend for a day or the entire ten days. However, learning is best if attendance is from Monday to Friday of an entire week. Each day will be different so those who attend one week will still be learning and having fun the second week as well.

Below is the topic we will study for each day for the first week.

  • Monday
Messages from angels (Luke 1:26–38; Matthew 1:18–25)
  • Tuesday
    Angels and shepherds (Luke 2:1–21)
  • Wednesday
How to talk with God (Luke 11:1–4)
  • Thursday
The way to the cross (Luke 23:13–56)
  • Friday
    Jesus is alive! (John 20:1–18)

Please come back again to find out more details.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

the Holiday Club Team
